Denis Coyne
Vice-President, Business Development & Interactive
Denis Coyne manages business development activities for The Nightingale Company, building strategic partnerships and taking a central role in creative development for the company’s slate of scripted and interactive projects.
Denis was one of the creators of TorGame, an urban alternate reality game that took place in the streets of Toronto in 2006. This project put him among the few people in Toronto knowledgeable about creating alternate reality games and projects around urban gaming. Subsequently he began working on an online collaborative learning system with Adam Clare and Wili Liberman, a long-time business partner of Debbie Nightingale, which led him to join the company.
Denis was also part of the early campaign team at the Toronto International Film Festival dedicated to bringing to life their $196 million year round home, the Bell Lightbox. Prior to that he managed guest relations for The Kingston Canadian Film Festival, and produced several operas, continuing a long time passion for music and theatre, while completing a degree at Queen’s University.
Denis is a recent member of the CFTPA’s New Media Committee, and Chairman of a new addition to the professional theatre scene in Toronto, Angelwalk Theatre.
