Canadian playwright George F. Walker and Dani Romain created and wrote an initial 15 one-hours of the crime drama, which will debut in Canada as "The Weight" in the spring 2009 on pay TV networks Movie Central and the Movie Network.
Toronto-based Peace Arch grabbed the worldwide rights to the Canadian drama, excluding most of Africa, France and European French-language markets.
