Dove Days
LENGTH: 60 minutes

This documentary focuses on the post-9/11 work of The Insan Foundation youth theatre group, as the players use provocative street or “guerilla” theatre to wake up Pakistani citizens to the folly of hate, ignorance and war.
In particular, Insan is driven by the need to spread the word that children—especially young boys—are at risk of exploitation by Muslim fundamentalist “jihadis”. It’s this message that Insan brings to Canada as they conduct intensive workshops with Toronto youth. Along the way they generate friendship and hope, as they bond over the issue of peace in a war-fevered time.
